Any electric drive unit would like to have a large battery capacity, light weight, and small size. This is because the battery that satisfies these conditions can make the electric drive device small in size, light in weight, and long in driving distance after charging. Lithium-ion batteries have high energy density and are the preferred power source for electric sightseeing cars.
2. High power density
The starting and accelerating process of the vehicle is expected to be short, and the instantaneous output current of the battery must be large. The high-power density battery can meet this requirement, that is, the battery plate is required to have a thin plate, a small internal resistance, and a high current discharge performance.
It should be noted that the relationship between specific energy and specific power of different batteries is different. Some batteries have higher specific energy, but the specific power is not necessarily high; similarly, some batteries have higher specific power, but the specific energy is not necessarily higher.

The shorter the battery charging time, the higher the maneuverability of the vehicle. Electric sightseeing car drivers want battery charging to be as fast and convenient as gasoline vehicles.

A battery composed of a highly negatively-charged negative electrode and a highly positive-positive positive electrode has a high voltage and a high specific energy, which is an advantage thereof; however, there is also a problem of poor safety. For example, the specific energy of a Li/SOCl2 battery is high, but it is because of its inexplicable explosion, which makes it impossible to use it as a power battery.
7. Easy to use and maintain, the battery is resistant to overcharging and overdischarging.
During the use of the battery, individual batteries may be overcharged or overdischarged. This phenomenon is more serious if the user is not careful to abuse. Over-charging and over-discharging tend to shorten battery life. The current over-charging and over-discharging performance of lithium-ion batteries is one of the important factors that affect their promotion and application.
